LONDON BOROUGH OF CAMDEN – Delivered 400 comprehensive OT assessments within a 6-month window
SHA OTs are competent and experienced with Social Care OT work, have adopted the Camden way of working, complete assessments to a high standard and their support has helped bring down waiting times. SHA management are very responsive to feedback and provide regular budget reports with case data breakdowns useful for tracking work.

SHA have been assessing applicants for our Blue Badge service with the London Borough of Havering for over 10 years now and we have a great partnership. In addition to demonstrating their expert knowledge in their understanding and application of the Blue Badge criteria, SHA continue to provide an excellent service.
LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS – delivering Concessionary Travel Assessments
SHA have consistently provided an excellent service in assessing applicants for Blue Badges; Disabled Persons Freedom Passes; Taxicards and Personalised Disabled Bays. I have always found them to be flexible and responsive to changes in the field of mobility assessments, including being proactive in respect of recent changes to the Blue Badge legislation to include Non-visible criteria.
I would commend them on the excellent administration service they provide including arranging appointments for our applicants and their highly efficient accountancy practices they employ in relation to invoicing and budgetary control.

We have been working with SHA for almost two years. Within that time, we have fostered an excellent working relationship with their mobility assessors who are readily on hand for advice and support. They are flexible to the needs of our service and work in collaboration with my administration team.
CAMBRIDGE COUNTY COUNCIL – Bespoke Audit & Review of Community OT Service
SHA Disability were commissioned to undertake a review of Cambridgeshire County Council’s Community Occupational Therapy service. SHA were chosen above other more generic consultancies as we wanted to be sure that we commissioned an organisation with a clear understanding of the delivery of OT services. SHA undertook an excellent piece of work, working to our detailed brief and provided us with a comprehensive report containing valuable insights and recommendations for service development. Despite the complexity of the brief, SHA kept to deadlines and liaised closely with all stakeholders at relevant points throughout the project. I would not hesitate to recommend SHA for similar projects in the future.

Luton Borough Council have been delighted with the service provided by SHA to date. They have been flexible, reliable and practical in dealing with our cases. In addition, they have demonstrated expert knowledge in their understanding and application of the Blue Badge criteria. I was particularly impressed with their approach to Hidden Disabilities and the workshop which resulted in a greater understanding of this criteria for me and my team.
LONDON BOROUGH OF HACKNEY – Providing OT Assessments to Reduce Waiting Lists
Hackney have worked well with SHA Disability for many years. They have carried out statutory and specialist OT assessments on behalf of Hackney, helping to reduce the waiting time for assessments for Hackney residents.

I had a home visit from an occupational therapist to help with adaptations in my house. Normally I feel anxious with strangers, but she was so warm, smiley, and reassuring that I felt confident straight away. She really listened, understood my needs, and explained everything clearly. My urgent equipment was ordered immediately and arrived the very next morning, and she kept me updated about further adaptations. Her professionalism, kindness, and knowledge made a big difference, and it’s so important to have therapists who truly understand and support people like me.
